Bequests

Our dancing friends sometimes ask us how to leave all or a portion of their estate to Oneness Project. If you love the Dances of Universal Peace and want your estate to further the work of the Dances in the world, Oneness Project is a great choice for your bequest. Since Year 2000 we have awarded more than $575,000 in grants worldwide to support the Dances and DUP leader training. Through careful management and clear policies our endowment fund continues to grow at the rate of inflation or better. At the close of 2006 our endowment fund amounted to more than $2.2 million. We also present many beautiful and dynamic DUP retreats in the western United States.

You can be sure your bequest to Oneness Project will carry on in perpetuity to help ensure that the Dances of Universal Peace continue to inspire and unite the human family for many generations to come. Click here to view our latest financial statement of assets and liabilities.

To make a bequest, be sure to include appropriate statement below in your will.

1. Bequest of cash
"I bequeath the sum of $________ to Oneness Project of Hamilton, Montana, Federal ID number 81-0511480."

2. Bequest of a percent of the estate
"I devise and bequeath ____% of the remainder and residue of property owned at my death, whether real or personal, and wherever located to Oneness Project, Hamilton, Montana, Federal ID number 81-0511480." <Alternate: name specific location of real estate.>

3. Contingent Bequest
"If my brother John Doe survives me, I devise and bequeath __% of the remainder and residue of property owned at my death, whether real or personal, and wherever located to John Doe. If  John Doe does not survive me, then I devise and bequeath __% of my residuary estate, whether real or personal property and wherever located to Oneness Project, Hamilton, Montana, Federal ID number 81-0511480."

If you choose to name Oneness Project as a beneficiary, please let us know of your plans. This will enable us not only to show our appreciation of your generosity but also to include your support in planning for the future of Oneness Project.

If you select a specific purpose for your gift, inclusion of the following sentence will ensure that the bequest remains useful through many decades. "If, in the judgment of the Board of Trustees, changed circumstances should, at some future time, render the designated use of this fund impracticable, unwise or inappropriate, then the Board shall use the fund to further the objectives and purposes of Oneness Project, giving consideration to my special interest as evidenced by the purpose described above."
