Project Grants

Individuals, Dance Circles and organizations may apply to Oneness Project for up to $5,000 in matching funds for projects to support the Dances of Universal Peace. A "project" is an activity or event having a specific beginning and end date and intended to meet specific objectives. Project Grant Guidelines describe our award criteria and how we make award decisions and Grant Policies present our rules about honoraria and other information. After you have read and become familiar with this information, the Project Grant Application Form walks you step-by-step through the information we need to consider your request. All past grantees must file a Final Report Form within 6 weeks of completing their project.

Dance Leader Training (DLT) Grants

Individuals who are mentored or supervised leaders of the Dances of Universal Peace may apply for up to 1/2 of their tuition and travel expense to attend qualified Dances of Universal Peace Leader Trainings. Individuals may file a DLT Grant Application up until 6 weeks prior to the event they wish to attend. Past grantees, please use the DLT Final Report Form to report to Oneness Project after completion of your training event.

MicroGrants

Oneness Project awards MicroGrants for small projects or activities which support the Dances of Universal Peace. Applicants may apply to Oneness Project at any time by a simple email letter for up to $300. 

Project examples include paying travel and/or honoraria for a Dance teacher to visit your community, mileage and expenses for dance leaders to reach out to new constituencies, or promotion expenses for new DUP events. 

Dance Library Grants
 

Oneness Project encourages excellence in Dance leading and Dance meeting facilitation by offering a free library of the Dances of Universal Peace instruction booklets and CDs to communities of dance leaders who share the materials. See the links above to learn more and apply.

Braveheart Grants

Oneness Project established the Braveheart Scholarship Fund in memory of Tom Boyington, a devoted peace dancer who participated widely in Oneness Project camps and activities in the 1990’s. The fund has now expanded to honor other dancers that have passed on.

The Fund’s mission is to offer grant money as heart gifts to persons with medical disabilities, to their caregivers and to the recently bereaved to attend Dances of Universal Peace events. Grant awards are based on the need of the applicant, the applicant’s depth of association with the Dances of Universal Peace, and the likelihood of the project to fulfill the purpose of the Braveheart Fund.
