Among the criteria we look at to determine eligibility are the following:
1. Mentor Teacher Guild and/or Sufi Ruhaniat
International leaders serve as staff for the
training.
2. The event is held primarily for the purpose of
increasing the required skills and attunement
for leading the Dances of Universal Peace and/or
Walks, specifically,
a) Dance leading for feedback is a primary
component of the proposed training. Oneness
Project supports this training technique,
pioneered by core mentors Saadi Neil
Douglas-Klotz and Tasnim Fernandez because it
encourages the aspiring dance leader to reflect
critically on his/her capacities and attunement
and also provides the opportunity for
individualized guidance and support; and/or,
b) Advanced dance leader training events presented
by Senior Mentors and/or Sufi Ruhaniat
International Mentors who present dances
requiring advanced skills or particular
attunements from their originators, and/or
advanced walking practices or similar material
may qualify as an eligible event for the
purposes of this program.

Amount of
Support
Grants are awarded only to sincere students in
the path of the Dances of Universal Peace.
Grants are limited to up to 50% of eligible
expenses (total
tuition, lodging and travel costs) for attending
the event. Applicants may receive up to two (2) grants in
any calendar year, but the total annual amount received
cannot exceed $500. Applicants under age 30 may
receive grants for up to 75% of eligible
expenses not to exceed $600 in any calendar
year. Oneness
Project may limit the total amount of support
awarded for any particular training. Only
individuals registered with the MTG as mentored or supervised for at least two
(2) years may apply for grants to support
intercontinental travel. In this case, grants
will be given only for advanced trainings, as
described in the above paragraph. If you are
committing to a multi-event training program
please submit your estimated total expenses from
all the trainings within that calendar year.
(The $500 total limit per year still applies in
this case.)
The DLT administrator will email you a confirmation that your application has been received and an estimated date that you will be informed whether you will receive a DLT grant award. The official notification of award will generally be sent within a week to 10 days following the closing deadline. All grantees must file a final report with Oneness Project within one month following the conclusion of the event. An applicant with a delinquent final report must file the delinquent report before OP will consider a new grant application.

Answer the following questions in English as fully as possible. You may use additional pages as needed.
1. Describe your work with the Dances of Universal Peace during the last year or two. How often and in which dance circle(s) do you regularly lead? Have you attended any other training?
2. What do you feel are your challenges or growing edge in dance leading at present?
3. Exactly how do you believe that this training will further your growth in these areas?
4. What are your objectives for attending this training? Objectives are measurable, time-constrained outcomes. (Example: At the conclusion of this training I expect to be able to describe the distinctive aspects of the 4 elements walks as outlined by Murshid Samuel Lewis, to demonstrate each walk so that it can be identified by another leader, and to have practiced presenting the walks for our dance meeting the following month.)
5. If you plan to attend this event because of the presence of a particular teacher, what about being with this person do you believe will be helpful to you at this time?
Complete the following budget for your training.
